The Tactile Sanctuary" – A Hong Kong Residence

In a city like Hong Kong, where the pace is relentless and space is at a premium, the home must serve as more than just a shelter; it must be a psychological and sensory retreat. This project, a private residence in Hong Kong, is designed to counter the city's overwhelming visual and auditory stimuli—the neon lights, the traffic, the constant hum of density. The core idea is to strip back the artificial layers of modern living and reconnect the inhabitants with a sense of comfort, warmth, and authenticity. We achieve this through a material palette that celebrates imperfection and a spatial strategy that prioritizes the sense of touch.

"In a space defined by tactility, sound becomes the invisible texture. We introduce a sound topic called "The Memory of the Material.""
